The DeWitt County Appraisal District is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Chief Appraiser.
General Job Duties
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and training of appraisal personnel
- Building and maintaining cost schedules for residential and commercial properties
- Representing the district in formal and informal appraisal review board hearings as well as arbitration hearings
- Assistance with property value study (SDPVS)
- Offer assistance with Methods and Procedures (MAP) Audit
- Oversight of field operations and maintaining Reappraisal Plan
- Conduct Ratio Studies
- Assist with agricultural valuation files
- Valuation of land, commercial, residential, and business personal property
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the chief appraiser
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold current RPA
- Experience in all phases of property valuation
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Adequate Auto Insurance
- Good work history and personal references
- Good working knowledge of P&A CAMA software system
