The DeWitt County Appraisal District is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Chief Appraiser.

General Job Duties

The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and training of appraisal personnel
• Building and maintaining cost schedules for residential and commercial properties
• Representing the district in formal and informal appraisal review board hearings as well as arbitration hearings
• Assistance with property value study (SDPVS)
• Offer assistance with Methods and Procedures (MAP) Audit
• Oversight of field operations and maintaining Reappraisal Plan
• Conduct Ratio Studies
• Assist with agricultural valuation files
• Valuation of land, commercial, residential, and business personal property
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the chief appraiser

Minimum Qualifications:

•  Must hold current RPA
• Experience in all phases of property valuation
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Adequate Auto Insurance
• Good work history and personal references
• Good working knowledge of P&A CAMA software system
